Abstract

This article gives a brief overview of the CAST Universal Design for Learning (UDL) framework that is a research based means by which instructors can improve learning for their students. Each of three sections of the framework are explained, with relevance to online learning highlighted. In addition, each overview is coupled with specific implementation strategies appropriate for online higher education instructors.
