Welcome to the second issue in the third volume of the Journal of Higher Online Education. In this issue, we feature peer-reviewed research about phlebotomy instruction, student-centered adult learning, and the perceived effectiveness of a learning management system (LMS).
In addition to these peer-reviewed articles, we have a variety of non-peer-reviewed articles. Our Reflection in Online Education this issue is written by Dr. Alan D. Hansen, where he discusses the history and future of delivering online education. We also have a book review about Valérie Gaultier's Leading with Sense: The Intuitive Power of Savoir-Relier. Lastly, we feature the winner of Independence University's Distinguished Thesis Award for the School of Healthcare, Steven Michael Mounteer, whose Master's thesis discusses employee satisfaction approaches in healthcare organizations.
